Maybe It's Time You Stopped Trying To Earn a Living!
by John Colanzi

Are you still earning a living?

You don't have to earn a living!! You already earned the
right to live when you were born.

Before you head for the exit, let me explain what I mean.

What comes to mind when you hear someone say, I'm earning a
living?

<> Nose To The Grind Stone

<> A Job

<> A Burden

<> An Obligation

No wonder you can't get your small business off the ground.
You're not an entrepreneur. You've jumped from the frying
pan into the fire.

Do you hate yourself that much?

Stop earning a living! Start realizing you deserve better.

Maybe it's time we eliminated the word entrepreneur from
our vocabulary.

Did you know that Getty, Carnegie and Rockefeller weren't
entrepreneurs? They were wheeler dealers. They were wild
catters.

Do you think they were earning a living?

No way, the old wheeler dealers got up in the morning and
their blood was pumping. Their adrenaline was on high.

Does your business get you excited? Does it get your blood
flowing? Or are you just trying to make a living?

I'll make you a guarantee. Stop trying to earn a living and
you'll never work another day in your life.

One warning! You may start feeling guilty that you're
having so much fun, while everyone else is trying to earn
a living.

Wishing You Success,
John

Do you feel tired? Read on to find out why you feel this way ...

I am Tired,
Yes, I'm tired.

For a couple years I've been blaming it on iron- poor blood, lack of vitamins, dieting and a dozen other maladies that make you wonder if life is really worth living.

But now I found out, it ain't that.

I'm tired because I'm overworked.

The population of this country is 237 million.
104 million are retired.
That leaves 133 million to do the work.

There are 85 million in school, which leave 48 million to do the work
Of this there are 29 million employed by the federal government.
This leaves 19 million to do the work.
Four million are in the Armed Forces, which leaves 15 million to do the work.
Take from the total the 14,800,000 people who work for State and City Government and that leaves 200,000 to do the work.
There are 188,000 in hospitals, so that leaves 12,000 to do the work.
Now, there are 11,998 people in prisons.
That leaves just two people to do the work.

You and me.

Bummer..

And you're sitting there reading this.

No wonder I'm tired.

.......

Chuckle ... yes, I know you've seen this before, but it's always worth another visit!

Quick Tip

For all you email advertisers out there, two studies out
today reveal interesting facts about the medium. First, it
seems that older Americans have finally discovered email.
Second, the majority of women online use the Internet to
maintain relationships on a regular basis.

Use of the Internet among those ages 55-64 grew to 43% in the
past six months from 36% six months ago and 31% eighteen
months ago, according to the semi-annual Cyber Stats report
from Mediamark Research (MRI).

According to MRI, the most common online activity among
consumers 55-64 is email. Compared to six months ago, use of
email by this group has increased by 20%. Compared to 18
months ago, there has been a 46% increase in email use among
older Americans and while fewer engage in other Internet
activities, these users are increasingly tracking their
investments, making purchases, making travel plans and just
browsing.

MRI says the number of adults who reported using either the
Internet or an online service in the last 30 days is 105
million, or 52% of all U.S. adults. On the high end, 43
million adults reported using America Online, versus 2.3
million on the low end for Prodigy. The numbers for
CompuServe are 3.8 million and 18.7 million for MSN.

The women study conducted for Hallmark.com indicates that
just under 70% communicate with family and friends online
daily. "Women are increasingly using online tools such as e-
cards, gift assistance and gift certificates," said
Hallmark.com's Diana Stuart.

According to those polled, the leading occasion for sending
e-cards is birthdays, closely followed by "just for fun,"
major holidays and "I'm thinking of you."

Masha E. Geller http://www.mediapost.com

Since so many more people are communicating via email, why not give them something to talk about? You can post interesting information about specialist topics; put up some amusing stories that relate to a specific interest group (parents, teens, gardeners, plumbers etc); create an interactive feature and so on.

For some ideas on how easy it is to do this, see the Never-Ending Story, hints for writers and the history of the world.
